REVIEW & DEMO | NEW Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless

maybelline fit me matte poreless

My skin type: Normal to Oily Skin (Dry in the winter)

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation

My shade: 220 Natural Beige

– Medium to full coverage
– For Normal to Oily skin
– Comes in 12 different shades
– Dermatologist and allergy tested
– Oil-free

What It Claims vs My Thoughts After Testing

1.) Mattifies and refines pores

My thoughts: Very matte and flawless but it does get dewy (not oily, on my skin type at least) after 7 hours of wear

Tip: If you have extremely oily skin, bring a powder or blotting powder with you for touch ups throughout the day

2.) Matches natural tone

My thoughts: This foundation is yellow-based so if you have pink undertone, then it might not blend as well with your skin tone.

3.) Natural, seamless finish

My thoughts: It doesn’t conceal all the imperfections since it is a medium to full coverage so it is very natural in finish and some people prefer this sort of finish. Very seamless, does not cake up.

Tip: Spot conceal on areas that needs to be covered.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder

My shade: 220 Natural Beige

– For Normal to Oily skin
– Comes in 8 mattifying shades
– Buildable coverage
– Oil-free
– Sponge and mirror inside

What It Claims vs My Thoughts After Testing

1.) Up to 12 hour wear

My thoughts: After testing both foundation and powder together for 7 hours, my face didn’t look oily. Coverage of both products stayed on pretty good. 12 hours might be too long without touch ups if you have really oily skin.

Tip: Do bring the powder for touch ups. Use the sponge to blot on areas needed to mattify or use blotting powder if extra coverage is not needed throughout the day.

2.) Natural poreless-looking finish

My thoughts: After 7 hours, face is still quite poreless and natural with only a tiny bit of coverage faded on certain areas.

Tip: Bring the powder if extra coverage is needed througout the day.

3.) Long lasting shine control

My thoughts: If you have normal to oily skin like me, this powder will keep you shine-free for 7 hours or maybe even more. If you have oilier skin, you are more likely to get a little shiny past 7 hours.

Overall, I give these products a 4.5/5! I love it especially for such an affordable price! Lately, I find myself using this almost everytime I go out and it hasn’t disappointed me on bit. You do need to use concealer if you have pretty dark scars and undereye circles. Take note though, if you have dry skin, you will not like this very much as the foundation itself dries matte already.
