As I’ve mentioned in my vlog, YES! I am indeed pregnant! As I was going through comments, I noticed that many of you are very supportive, but some were really shocked, which I was already expecting! =) Let me tell you a little story of how it started…
First off, the pregnancy is unexpected. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost five years, and never have we expected for the pregnancy to happen. I know what you are thinking, “Well, did you have unprotected sex?”. The answer to that is something I would want to keep private for obvious reasons =) But one thing I can tell you is that I was so stressed out during my first trimester, because I had to go through so many things such as family issues and all that stuff. I mean, my boyfriend and I are not teenagers anymore, but we are very young adults and that is what we both were concerned about. We weren’t sure at first if we both could handle it… You know, the stress of having to tell our whole family, especially my parents, who are by the way Asian strict and by that I mean STRICT! Also, we questioned ourselves whether or not we’re ready to have the baby and all that normal stuff that young couples go through whenever serious things like this happen. Anyways, with all that said, we stood up and supported each other through the rocky roads. There have been times when we had to blame each other for this and that, but we got over it and now we are ready to enter a new chapter in our lives.
My boyfriend and I are getting married on the 16th of December 2012. It is going to be a civil marriage, very small wedding with most of the guests being our families, and just a couple of our friends. We decided to keep the wedding very simple for now because we would obviously want to get married in the church after I give birth, which will take at least a year of planning. We’re so ready to go! I bought my dress and by the way, I decided not to wear a white dress although it was what I wanted my dress colour to be in the first place, but I thought, you know what? I’m gonna save the white dress for the big wedding instead. So, I got a royal blue, really flowy and simple dress yet still elegant. You girls will see it in my wedding vlog that I will upload the week after the wedding =) The only thing I have to worry now are the shoes! For a 27-week pregnant like me, I need something very comfortable and I have just the perfect pair that I saw in Express.
I use three different products for my belly and other areas to try to prevent stretch marks, as well as itching as much as possible.
1.) Palmer’s, Cocoa Butter Formula, Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks, 8.5 fl oz (250 ml)
I got this from iherb.com and one thing I don’t like about it is the smell! I don’t know what it is but it’s just not an appealing smell.
2.) Cococare 100% Cocoa Butter The Yellow Stick
This one would have to be my absolute favourite of all the ones I use! Very moisturizing and this time, I love the smell! It smells just like butter and I can kinda smell some caramel-like scent, although I’m not exactly sure if caramel do smell anything at all Lol!
3.) Bio Oil
I’ve heard a lot of my friends say that this product didn’t prevent them from having stretch marks. As for me, I do it for the sake of moisturizing my belly to prevent itchiness as well. Bio oil is okay to me, not as moisturizing as The Yellow Stick but I like how it feels on my skin. =)
